BEEN THERE DONE THAT - That's what you'll say as you read Carl Vancelette's tale(s) of his life in bridge, and his attempts to achieve competence, achieve Life Mastership, and simply stop making the same errors over and over. He'll make you laugh. (He may make you cry.) He'll teach you some fundamental lessons in a painless way.

About the Author:

Carl Vancelette is a Bronze Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League. He has taught bridge in New Hampshire and owns the Dover, New Hampshire Duplicate Bridge Club. He has been successful at all levels of tournament bridge, but like the majority of bridge players in the pursuit of the elusive masterpoint, his triumphs were few and his disasters many. From 1992 to 2002, Carl wrote the popular monthly column "The V Files" for ACBL Bridge Bulletin. Carl retired from a 35 year teaching career in 2005, but he continues to teach American Literature part time as he pursues his passions of golf, writing and playing bridge. He lives in Barrington, NH with his favorite bridge partner, his wife Claudia.
